Improvements in our DAP (Demand Analysis and Planning) software, coming in September:

• New user interface for forecasts based on past data, making data entry easier in manual mode.
• Extra feature to aggregate determining conditions combining several single factors. The aggregate factors may use mathematical expressions and time series in user-defined formula.
• Aggregation scenarios now display both past data and forecasted values.
• Better compatibility with Windows Vista.

Our LAP (Low Voltage Electrification Analysis and Planning) and NAP (Network Analysis and Planning) software have been updated to provide some improvements and corrections. They also now include a viewer mode like GAP and DAP.

Our GAP (Generation Analysis and Planning) software has been updated to fix some bugs and include a viewer mode, similar to what was added to DAP last month.

Our DAP (Demand Analysis and Planning) software has been updated to include some new functionalities:

• DAP takes now into account the leap years in conversions between power and energy (MW ↔ GWh).
• DAP computes now the increase for the forecasts using a linear or exponential regression on past data.
• DAP now includes a viewer mode. Therefore, even if you do not have an active license, you can access to the results of a study made with the software. This allows to facilitate the transfer of study results between a consultant and his client, thus ensuring consistency and accessibility of the study results.

The first eight licenses of LAP software were delivered to REDAL and AMENDIS in Morocco. Our engineers are working on the releasing of a demo version of the software, which will be soon on the site.

The project of building a wood pellets factory, handled by DIWOOD, is evolving favorably. The building permits were submitted by Georges Floret, architect of the Société de Granulés d'Arlanc (SGA), and the site work is expected to start in March.

Systems Europe partners join the company DIWOOD, created in 1999, which mission is to develop the wood energy network.

At the same time, the first subsidiary company of the new group is born. The site of Arlanc in the Puy de Dôme (France) was chosen to set up the first factory of the group for producing wood pellets (as fuel for heating). Société de Granulés d'Arlanc (SGA, "Arlanc pellets factory") will produce there its first tons of pellets in fall 2008.

Amendis in Morocco orders also few licenses of LAP, the new version of LVPLAN. The software will be used to study the possibilities of urban and rural electrical network creation or extension.

The LVNET software is modernized and receives a new name. More intuitive and more user-friendly, REBAN (REduction of losses by BAlancing Network) allows reducing losses on distribution networks by balancing loads between phases and/or by reinforcing existing lines. Reban performs a technical and economical analysis of suggested solutions.

Systems Europe commits itself, following its diagnosis, to the proposal of a methodology with intervention in the field. That engagement in term of results applies to any company whose losses are higher than 30%.

January 2007

• LVPLAN software will be updated to respond to an order of several licences from the REDAL (Morocco). The new version, LAP (Low-voltage electrification Analysis and Planning), will offer the opportunity to make Urban Electrification Studies. Add to the classic overhead lines of Rural Electrification, the new version will integrate the possibility to consider wall mounted lines and underground cables. This evolution of the software will be ready for the second part of 2007.
• Stanislas de Broqueville and Denis Kobler, Chairman and President of Systems Europe, were welcomed by Cameroon's Prime Minister and Minister for Energy. Cameroon's authorities would like to insist on the importance for their country of the Rural Electrification programme and on the help of Systems Europe in the process. The country's televisions covered the event; see the video.
